(Look, I like these, but really....) Seriously, I can skip a few in this wave. (First 2 from the series I can skip actually. The SE/Viper pack is nothing special. (I already have 2 SE figures, including the SDCC one. No need for a 3rd unless there is something really odd about the new one, or I get the urge to make a Cobra Mortal.) The Shipwreck/CG is a must have. Shipwreck is possibly the sleeziest Joe, and the CG fits the whole "everyman from hell" theme of Cobra. Lady Jaye is dead in the comics, and now there is a cute toy of her. And, how can I say "no" to Major Bludd? Skipping the GH/CC pack, unless the CC has something really odd/interesting. Dom -hopes Bludd is missing a couple of figures.

In "There is No Place Like Springfield" part II, Shipwreck is druffed and interrogated by a CG cadet. She tells him what she knows of his past, including that he joined the Navy at 17. Shipwreck groggily corrects her, "16. I lied about my age." Yeah, Duke and Flint were the heroes. But, for a kid like me who knew he was not growing up to be the football captain, the flawed Joe had appeal for being (for lack of a better term) accessible. Dom

They seeded the market with TFs before that movie came out. Maybe Hasbro is trying to distance the franchise from the past. (This is objectively something GI Joe sorely needs.) But, they are doing that anyway with "Resolute", which is (to be fair) a pretty good update of things. Cutesified variants of iconic favorites, (especially when there is so much wrong with them), will not kill the franchise. Let the movie force the franchise to update. Part of me wonders how much faith Hasbro has in "GI Joe" as a franchise. If it was just this, I would be annoyed, (if only because there is so much to chuckle about with "Combat Heroes"), but they also cancelled/delayed the upcoming vehicle wave. Has anyone done any fact checking on these rumours? Dom -well, screw you Hasbro. I can save my money.
