What Would Cap Do?

That's right, boys and girls, the fine folkds over at TNI have brought us the first look at the first two releases in the GI Joe: resolute series of comic 2-packs. The two packs shown are:

Destro -vs- Shockblast

Tunnel Rat -vs- Storm Shadow

You can view both packs, in detail, HERE

As you can see, though, Destro seems to be geared up for combat, but not like I'd have everpictured him personally. Looks more like something Mindbender would come up with.

Shockblast, who is actually Shockwave is actually looking to be a damn nice figure! It's very much like the original, including two working thigh-holsters, a removable cap and a helmet, notto mention a gas mask! With the exception of a few small details, though, they seem to have used almost the exact same recipe I was planning for my Shockwave, so mine has been canexed in lieu of this one. LOL!!

Tunnel Rat's another that appears to be coming along well. I'd say they are making him a bit too muscular, but hey, that's just me. He's a very nice homage to the original, and one I definitely plan to get.

Storm Shadow... um... well, he has Budo's armor, Dice's mask and the Shredder's helmet. Great custom fodder, though, you ask me. Which is exactly what I have planned when(read as "IF") I come across these in my area.

Kickin' It 'Old School'!

I like Shockwave and Tunnelrat.

Storm Shadow seems to go the TMHT way...Destro looks goofy...

Jim, thanks for posting about this big brO... I totally was clueless about this whole
GIJOE RESOLUTE stuff and didn't really pay any attention to this line but I'm really
glad to see another TUNNEL RAT created amidst all this though!

With that being said, does anyone know when this will be officially released in retail
so that people are able to go purchase this? And if it's already out there... I would
love to work out something with any of you who may have an extra for trade or
whatever. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have him guys - thanks!

Yeah, it's already out, but I couldn't tell you where. I have seen the Shockwave/Destro pack and the TR/SS pack once, but that was a couple months ago. Honestly, I don't consider that particular TR worth having, and he looks nothing like TR does in Resolute.

Yeah, I guess I just got a little bit excited just based on the fact that he
exists in this 25th Anniversary form is what really got me on board I guess...
But I couldn't agree with you more though and what you've said big brO,
in that he looks nothing like he does in the GIJOE RESOLUTE animated series.
But I wouldn't mind having him none-the-less since I'm a TUNNEL RAT freak!!

Anyway, please let me know if you know of anyone who might have this or
if you spot him out there any where... I was totally unaware of this stuff to
say the least Jim, thanks
