What Would Cap Do?

Once more the guys and gals at TNI have brought us up to date with what's coming soon. This time it's images to the upcoming, and much awaited, GI Joe "Hall of Heroes". And I gotta say, if you're one of those waiting anxiously for this line... well... don't shoot the messenger. :/

Mja...Another milkcow I would say...

The only one I would possibly buy is the CG...But that is only for his backpack and helmet which seem to be more fibrant crimson than before.

Meh...There doesn't seem to be a whole lot special about them, other than the packaging and the gold stands. Maybe some extra accessories. The weathered boots on some look kinda goofy since the rest of the figure isn't like that. It woulda been nice to see the whole figure with that kind of attention. Anyway...I do like Firefly. Since I tend to get out of the loop sometimes...did another version of Firefly come with that awesome backpack?? I spose if they do well and H decides to make more and Shipwreck happened to be one of them, I might pick him up. ;)

That backpack did indeed come with earlier versions of the 25th Firefly.

That backpack came with a comic pack Firefly. It's odd, though. These were supposedly decided by the fans and voted on well before some of those figures were ever released. Not to mention, a couple of those figures in that particular construction (namely Firefly), were never released! Now, calculate in how long it takes to make these after tallying up the votes and all the planning and I'd say that this all started well before half the original releases of these figures ever saw fan-hands.

Analysis: The voting was a farce, of course, and Hasbro just put out what they felt like, the fans' votes be damned. As usual.

Oh, and Amy, hate to rain on yourparade, but this was originally announced as a straight 10-figure line, just the best-of-the-best. But as usual, Hasblo missed the mark by a wide margin once more.

And furthermore, did we really need two SE's for this set?

Are you guys seriously telling me that Hasbro is shelling out another crappy line,
which is actually the 25th Anniversary stuff anyhow, and calling it something else "special!?"
What a load of crap if you really wanna know how I feel, I'm just glad I never really
and fully got on board with the 25th stuff... not to take away from all the nice customs
that you guys have worked and put in efforts into since the line's inaugural debut.

I think it's a nice idea, but like everyone else has suggested and stated already...
It's another mishap with a vintage toy line's golden days gone wrong in this millenia

A bunch of slight retools, and repacks?

I might be on board for that SE w/timber, as the wolf is a new mold. Along similar lines, if those become the only source for parts , I will likely snag a few for conversions - especially as these are likely to be discounted soon enough. But, no way in heck am I collecting this line for itself.

Your logic is impeccable, Jim. ;) Meh...rain on my parade...Eventually I'll just customize my OWN HOF Shippy and wave it in Hasbro's face, fancy gold stand and all. Yeah, take that. *rolls eyes*

*realizes that jeezohpete she's gonna need yet ANOTHER Shipwreck*

*and maybe needs a closer look at comic FF*

And beside, I'm digging the pic I saw of a supposed Resolute Shippy. ;)

Yeah, Dom, the wolf does look like a good update. But really...how much man-crushing on SE can they dish out? And in a supposedly exclusive 10 figure line...

I have seen the figure as part of a 5 pack set.

This might be what Mac is talking about.

Um, no that's not what I'm talking about...so this is new to me too! Oy. Wish the pic was bigger...does he have a new/different leg mold? And obviously Polly's different. MUST HAVE BIGGER PICTURE... LOL! What I was talking about was in a thread at JBL which I can't find at the moment...probly because I'm looking for it...and I swear the source labeled it resolute, but here is a link for movie toys: Coil Club

What struck me about it was the very Sigma look to chest. ;) Man I like both of them! I am such a geek...

I think I have finally found a picture of the Shipwreck that MAC is talking about. The upcoming movie version has a torso similar to Sigma Six styling. I personally will pass on most of the smaller movie toy line items as they are simply retools of items already available. If they make some of the bigger items, I'll be all over them.
