Posts: 1,114 Group: Collectors Member #1,037 Joined: January 20, 2008	hey guys i was wondering if any of you could help me discern between the 1985 crimson twins and the 2002 crimson twins. i want to trade a set of the old ones but iw ant to keep the 2002 set. any help greatly appreciated thanx

Posts: 720 Group: Sellers Member #42 Joined: April 3, 2007	definately the thumbs/hands. they'd moved onto softer plastic, so much so you should be able to squeeze the the thumb in, where as with the 85 release it wont move unless aggressive force is used which would probably result in a thumb break.

I never really knew that there was a later release or re-release of the 1985 originals. You'll definitely have to post some pics for us Dave, when you get a chance of course! I also checked the YOJOE archives and it looks like there some noticeable difference within the eyes too, in that they're more defined and are black in color... hmmm 1985 TOMAX vs. 2002 TOMAX

Posts: 720 Group: Sellers Member #42 Joined: April 3, 2007	I just got the later release of the Crimson Guard Commanders Tomax & Xamot I distinctly think the heads are different, and i'd also say that the blue is definately deeper/darker on these than the 1985 releases.
