There's two awesome 7 packs coming http://toynewsi.com/article.php?itemid=14092 movie figures http://toynewsi.com/index.php?itemid=14097 and movie vehicles http://toynewsi.com/index.php?itemid=14095 I'm pretty excited about the Cobra 7 pack for sure, probably gonna get multiples of them. The movie stuff is hit or miss for me, I like some of the figures and vehicles but some are just not that good. I was loving the drill vehicle until i noticed that they put a missile launcher right where the tip of the drill should be. I am reserving judgment on the Night Raven until I see it in a store. The Cobra Gunship looks cool, and I'll be getting multiples to use as updated AGPs or FANGs. The PITT is an easy pass, I'll get the Clone Wars Turbo Tank instead.  So, what do you all think?  |

i think most of the movie toys are absolute garbage. the seven packs rock (especially that alley viper) but i have actually seen pics of most of these vehicles and they really just don't impress me . they shrunk the night raven (i was under the impression that they were going to use the old mold) it would have been okay had they left out all of the lights and sounds and crap like that there i was even okay with the missile launchers but the "lock and load" action has to go. (yes i understand these toys are geared toward children and i respect that but i just can't really justify the forty dollar price point for it. the mole vehicle i really don't care for. it jsut really doesn't seem like something i could get behind. (it looks like an overgrown earth borer and something form the teenage mutant ninja turtles. you know the thing that they came to the surface in? the cobra hummer is okay i guess. the cobra gunship i really haven't seen too much of but it seems kinda .............off. thats the only way i can describe it. i have to get a better look at it though the snake trax vehicle i might get a few of. but that may just be because i really liked the ferret when it came out the ice dagger is it? yeah it was a good vehicle but unless it hits clearance i already have an ice sabre and am really trying not to support the movie toy line as i really don't like alot of what they are coming out with (especially since they pushed back my stinger 4wd for the movie toys) the pit? not worth a hundred dollars at all imho and its just really not all that great figures they suck plain and simple Edited by gijoe071681, Feb 21 2009, 04:36 PM.

Only thing I like is the 7-pack and perhaps the Night Raven, but I got to look at that up close.. For the rest..crap in a hat. Only thing I do get itchy about is the fact that there might be euro versions packaging coming to the Netherlands this year.

Both of the 7 packs have a good mix of "guys I want because I want 'em", (Mindbender or Recondo come to mind here), and some "guys I want for customizing (Ranger Viper). I plan to get both of those. I tend to avoid vehicles and such for reasons of cost and space. But, I admit, that the Pit would tempt me more if not for the price. Unless I like the movie, or some of the tie-ins for it, most of the figures will probably find their way into my "customizing parts" pile. I like them more than most people here, but not enough to buy character I already have copies of. Dom -still needs to post more Joe pics. Dom |
