That explains why they are so obnoxious then. The producers let an an actor known for playing a wholly obnoxious character write his own character. In all seriousness, racist or not, Skids and Midflap are the first two TF characters I have ever decided not to get on the basis of their characters. But Animated Starscream was voiced by the same dude, and there's nothing particularly obnoxious about him. Well, anymore than any other Starscream, but still. I didn't find the twins racist as such. Borderline retarded, yes, racist, no. The black family sitting next to me at the theater seemed to enjoy 'em, anyway. I liked 'em better when they were an ice cream truck, myself. But y'know, that might be just me. |
